SPECTRA-Siri S12®

advanced divider

A world-class strong and durable 12strand High Modulus rope made of Honeywell’s powerful HC Spectra® fibers. Manufactured in light blue color, Spectra-Siri S-12® stands for a high level of operational efficiency and quality performance.

SPECTRA-Siri S12® ropes are 12 strand High Modulus ropes, combining the excellent properties of Honeywell’s HC Spectra® fibers and an insuperable manufacturing process.

Applications

SPECTRA-Siri S12® ropes exhibit unmatched strength; they are 7 times stronger than steel ropes and 3 times stronger than polyester (on a weight by weight comparison). Their lightweight characteristics make SPECTRA-Siri S12® ropes ideal for the critical operations of the heavy shipping industry. The application of the special NikaThane-S coating on the HC Spectra® fibers and the superior in-house Linear Structural Preformation (LSP) process provides a high-quality robust rope construction with higher strength efficiency and excellent abrasion resistance. SPECTRA-Siri S12® ropes exhibit excellent resistance to UV sunlight and weathering degradation and thus an extended service life (more than 7 years).

SPECTRA-Siri S12® ropes are an excellent wire-rope alternative and offer several benefits:

SPECTRA-Siri S12® ropes are produced according to the latest edition of ISO 10325 and they comply with OCIMF’s latest regulations & recommendations for the safe mooring of commercial vessels.
