spectra logoSPECTRA-Siri® S12 ropes are 12 strand High Modulus ropes, combining the excellent properties of Honeywell’s Spectra® fibers and an insuperable manufacturing process.

Applications

SPECTRA-Siri® S12 ropes exhibit unmatched strength; they are 7 times stronger than steel ropes and 3 times stronger than polyester (on a weight by weight comparison). Their lightweight characteristics make SPECTRA-Siri® S12 ropes ideal for the critical operations of the heavy shipping industry. The application of the special NikaThane-S coating on the Spectra® fibers and the superior in-house Linear Structural Preformation (LSP) process provides a high-quality robust rope construction with higher strength efficiency and excellent abrasion resistance. SPECTRA-Siri® S12 ropes exhibit excellent resistance to UV sunlight and weathering degradation and thus an extended service life.

SPECTRA-Siri® S12 ropes are an excellent wire-rope alternative and offer several benefits:

lloyd's register type approvalSPECTRA-Siri® S12 ropes are produced according to the latest edition of ISO 10325 and they comply with OCIMF’s latest regulations & recommendations for the safe mooring of commercial vessels.
