On Friday, 6 February 2026, KATRADIS S.A. proudly returned on board the vessel Hellas Liberty, continuing a relationship that began more than a decade ago. This was not simply a delivery of ropes, it was the renewal of a shared commitment to safety, reliability and operational excellence.
Back in 2012, KATRADIS S.A. supported Hellas Liberty with a sponsorship of Nika-Cord 8 mooring ropes. Those ropes served the vessel faithfully for years, standing up to the constant demands of port operations, weather exposure and heavy loads. Still in use years later, the Nika Cord-8 stands as a tangible example of long term performance in real operating conditions.
This visit took place aboard Hellas Liberty, a floating maritime museum that preserves an important chapter of shipping history. As a vessel dedicated to education and remembrance rather than active service, every intervention is approached with respect for her historical integrity. This sponsorship continues a long-standing connection, linking past maritime practices with modern mooring technology in a way that honors her legacy
Fourteen years after the initial sponsorship, maritime requirements have continued to evolve, as have the solutions developed by KATRADIS S.A.
During our visit, Katradis S.A. provided a new sponsorship to Hellas Liberty, consisting of 8 coils of Improved 24 synthetic mooring ropes. Designed to meet contemporary mooring demands, this construction offers improved strength, durability and handling characteristics, while maintaining the reliability required for safe maritime operations.
Returning on board once again highlighted that this sponsorship represents more than the supply of mooring equipment. It reflects continuity, long-term cooperation and respect for a vessel that holds both operational and historical significance as a floating maritime museum.
