SK78 Prisma-Siri® S-12 DB are unique High-Performance ropes with excellent properties that meet the requirements of the most demanding applications. They consist of a 12strand SK78 Prisma® Shielded load bearing core and a protective braided jacket. This rope construction is firm, round and torque free.

There are three options for the jacket:
100% Polyester jacket: A reliable protective jacket that offers very good abrasion resistance and gripping properties when used on winches, capstans and other types of hardware.
Mixed jacket (UHMWPE/PES): A special blend of UHMWPE and polyester fibers form a highly abrasion protective jacket, that combines the gripping efficiency of Polyester and the ultra-high abrasion resistance of UHMWPE fibers.
UHMWPE jacket: A High Modulus jacket that provides maximum abrasion resistance prolonging significantly the rope’s service life.
These special jackets provide extra protection against abrasion, UV sunlight and environmental degradation. The jackets are repairable with the use of repair kit.
The special Prisma® Shield technology and the elaborate in-house Linear Structural Preformation (LSP) process upgrade the SK78 fiber to a level of superior performance. The application of Prisma® coating is performed on the fiber level and protects the SK78 fibers from abrasion and UV radiation. In the end, the whole process guarantees a top-quality rope with extra high strength efficiency and excellent abrasion resistance.
When compared to wire ropes, SK78 Prisma-Siri® S-12 ropes are stronger (for the same weight), lighter (making it easy and fast to handle), safer to use and cost-saving (minimum maintenance needs, no greases, faster operating times).
