On the 4th of December 2018, at the Eugenides Foundation Auditorium, the Katradis Group Of Companies will present a Preview of OCIMF’s 4th Edition Mooring Equipment Guidelines (MEG4).

The presentation will review all the new changes between the previous MEG edition and the currently effective 4th one. Special attention will be given to mooring lines specification and prerequisites as well as to the newly added documentation for monitoring and handling of mooring equipment.

Name of presenter: Dimitrios Mpaltzis, Dipl-Ing, MSc Materials engineer.

Dimitrios Mpaltzis is a Materials Engineer graduate from the Materials Engineering Department of the University of Ioannina with MSc postgraduate degrees at Advanced Industrial Manufacturing Systems and Advanced Materials Technology from Kingston University of London and the National Technical University of Athens. Currently, he is completing his Ph.D. studies at Fiber Reinforced Composites Engineering.

He has worked on projects in aeronautics and marine industry as a researcher and technical consultor and from March 2018 he has joined the Quality and R&D of materials department at Katradis Marine Ropes Industry as a Materials and Quality Engineer.
